By using NearMyWindow you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

The Service

NearMyWindow lets you record and share a short video of the view from your window, place it on a world globe, and communicate with other users through chat with automatic translation.

Your Account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. You must provide accurate information when signing up. You must be at least 13 years old to use NearMyWindow.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the videos and content you create. By posting content, you grant NearMyWindow a license to host, display, and distribute that content within the app so it can be shown to other users. You are responsible for the content you post and must have the right to share it.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to post content that is illegal, abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or that violates others' privacy or intellectual property. You agree not to record or share identifiable people without consent, not to misuse the chat or translation features, and not to attempt to disrupt or abuse the service. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Content Moderation

We may review, remove, or restrict content that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful. We may also suspend or terminate accounts in response to violations.

Communication and Translation

Chat messages may be automatically translated using third-party translation services to enable communication across languages. Translations are provided for convenience and may not be perfectly accurate.

Future Paid Features

NearMyWindow is currently free. We may introduce optional paid features or in-app purchases in the future, processed through the Google Play or Apple App Store billing systems and subject to their terms.

Disclaimer

NearMyWindow is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of NearMyWindow after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Chat Safety & Moderation

NearMyWindow uses automated AI-powered moderation systems to help maintain a safe and respectful global community.

• All chat messages are analyzed using OpenAI moderation technology before delivery.
• Content involving hate speech, threats, harassment, sexual exploitation, graphic violence, or harmful abuse may be blocked automatically.
• Moderation systems operate across multiple languages, including but not limited to English, French, Spanish, and others.
• Blocked moderation events may be securely logged with moderation scores for safety auditing and abuse prevention purposes.
• Accounts may receive automated warnings for repeated violations. Continued violations may result in temporary chat restrictions or suspensions.
• Messages identified as involving self-harm or crisis-related content may trigger supportive safety messaging.
• Users remain solely responsible for the content they send and share on NearMyWindow.
