NearMyWindow lets people share a short video of the view from their window and connect with others around the world. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Account information: your name and email address for sign-up and authentication (including Google Sign-In if you choose it). Content you create: videos you record of your window, profile details, avatar, and chat messages. Approximate location: the general location (city and country) associated with a window you post, so it can be placed on the globe. Device and usage information: device model, app version, operating system, and in-app activity such as screens viewed and features used, collected to understand how the app is used and to improve it.
NearMyWindow needs camera and microphone access to record the short video of your window. Videos you choose to post are uploaded to our servers and shown to other users on the globe and in your profile.
When you post a window, its approximate location (city and country) is used to place it on the world globe so others can discover views from around the world. We do not continuously track your location.
Chat messages you send are stored on our servers so the recipient can read them. To support communication across languages, message text may be sent to Google's translation service to provide automatic translation. Translated text is cached on our servers to improve performance.
We use your information to operate NearMyWindow: showing windows on the globe, enabling chat and translation, the follow feature, and improving the app through usage analytics. We do not sell your personal information.
Windows you post and your public profile are visible to other users. Chat messages are shared with the people you message. Message text is processed by Google's translation service to provide translations. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
You can delete your window content at any time within the app. You can request full account and data deletion at any time — see our account deletion page.
NearMyWindow is currently free. We may introduce optional paid features or in-app purchases in the future. If we do, purchases will be processed by the Google Play or Apple App Store billing systems and subject to their terms, and this policy will be updated accordingly.
NearMyWindow is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
